FINAL UPDATE

ok, this blog has been a complete failure. I havn't really keep it up to date... there has been zero viewer contribution (well with minor exceptions, and thank you to those that have helped and supported me through this project)... so its getting put out of its misery, but I'll give you all this last update... all the work... some in its final stage, but some only in partial...

Ok... well thats it... but not really... there alot of other stuff that will remain unposted... perhaps I'll restart this blog once I start dialoging and peicing this project into a cohesive narrative form... but for now... this is it... enjoy...

Continued Workings

Right, So work continues as usually... and hopfully I'll keep this blog updated from now till term end.
This guy is from an assignment that I really enjoyed, plus it turned out great... Unfortunatly I really don't know how to photograph finished peices. The protective gloss seems to give a nice sheen, but it turns terrible when you use a flash on it.

as for the project work, I got alot of canvas' in the works. Some great, others not so much.... but here is a little taste of the next real update...

please keep sending me feedback... I really enjoy it, and take it into account when I'm correcting canvas'

The Colossal Update : part 2

here is the other reason why I havn't updated the blog in a while... been lifing in the studio, breathing in some nice cadnium red (which apparently causes cancer)

This project was originally planned to be done completely in paint. Due to time restrictions (mainly cause I was working with oils last year) I switched to digital pages. They turned out alright, but it just wasn't really how I saw the project. So now I'm gearing up for alot of studio work in the next 2 months, and hopefully I'll peice together the main storeline with dramatic scenes painted out.

About: just a test panel (still getting used to acrylics right now)... but it does feature a new character on there... the bison... which plays a small role, but I like his design. So I'll keep playing around with him...

The Colossal Update : part 1

Ok... things haven't been updated around here. I'll take full responsibility for that... but will also pass the buck onto America... why? cause... I feel the need to blame America for more and more problems...

anyways, I'll just post some of the sketch work that I've been doing for the project right now, but I also have some canvas work that I've been doing in studio... which I'll be posting here later tonight...

This guys is an opener from Chapter 1... I'll give a little hint of the narrative, chapter 1 takes place roughly 13 years after the events of the prologue











2 frames overlayed onto one another... nothing too special...










Prologue work... just need to finish up this chase scene... then a long dialog section... which is turning out to be harder then I originally thought...







Last guy for this update... still alot more to come... I just seem to have gotten lazy about digitizing the works... been doing too many paintings lately

Ok... so I havn't posted in a few days... Work on the pages has been slower then expected... Basically I've hit the wall concerning this project. I needed to do something completely fresh to get outta the rut...

So I tried to animate one of the characters



Its really my first attempt at an actual animation. I think it turned out alright for a first time animation, and I plan on doing a few more animation sequences for fun over the holiday break... Then when I get back I'll finish up the prologue pages and finally get some dialog out there for everybody.

Ok... so I tend not to update this blog very often... but these next few days should be getting interesting... I got alot of work completed on multiple pages and they should all soon be ready for upload... and maybe even the first page of dialoged work will be going up... but to tide you over till then...

Not much to report on this one... sort of working out of sequence, but I just had to get this image out of my head... again its somewhat incomplete (the lettering is just place holder and the background might get replaced), but I've been planning to do series of these for chapter headings. I might switch to a paint medium for them or do something similar...

I actually just realized that most viewers of this website know absolutly nothing about the actual story-line, dialog, character or anything about this project. So this delightful character is called Drake the other little guy was named Edward, and obviously the storyline heads down much darker pathway then the cartoonish character design lets on.

Burying myself in work for the past few days... and the next few days should be interesting.

Got an essay due soon... so work may stop for a few days...
